The Really Retro and Classic Car Show will celebrate four years of Retro and Classic Car action! Join us on Sunday 24th June 2018 for a gathering of retro vehicles from the 40's right the way through to the late 90's. There will be an array of classic, retro, american and ratted cars together with commercial vehicles! We aim to have between 700 and 1000 cars on display and hope to utilise the neighbouring field for those late comers who cant squeeze onto the runway.
We believe the Really Retro Show will become the largest retro motor show in the Midlands, but will never forget what we are about! Guests come back year n year from as far as Cornwall and Scotland to talk to people they met way back on 2014 when the Really Retro Show started. We have listened to you and one of the major draws to the event is the venue. The show will be held on the same world war two airfield near Stafford, the venue provides ample and is easily accessible being just 10 minutes from the M6. There is also a grassed area with small play area for the family to enjoy.
Really Retro 2018 has begun! As of July (2017) promotion has started already for next year. We hope to fill the whole runway with some of the UKs best retro and classic car clubs, expect some of the following longstanding followers of the event.
Plus many more ! Keep checking back.
2018 - What to expect?
We want your retro vehicle at the event. Whilst we are calling it 'The Really Retro Show' we would like to think of it as a gathering or meet of car enthusiasts keen to chat and see other peoples cars. Whether you are a participant or member of the general public you should see a vast range of cars from the 40s through to the late 90's. British Leylands finest such as the Mini, Allegro or Marina (if we are lucky!) or cool Japanese classics such as the GT cars from the 70s or RX7s and Starions of the 80s! There is of course the huge Euro scene with VWs, Audis and Opels/Vauxhalls and who can forget old skool fords! We hope to have the most diverse range of vehicles on display which will include buses, Lorries and other commercial wagons.
With over 50 pitches available within our trade village there should be a stall for everyone! The village will house companies selling Car Care products, decals, clothing and car parts. There will also be ‘non car related’ stalls for the family looking for a bit of retail therapy! Please click here if you own a business and want to be part of the show.
For the Kids
Motor shows can be tiring for little ones so we have a series of activities and events spread throughout the venue. There will be a bouncy castle, bungee trampoline and a children's play area to keep the little ones happy. Ice cream vans, cake stalls and of course the onsite cafe which serves Burgers, Hot Dogs and Chips will ensure they have all they need (or want!) to eat.
There will be three prizes up for grabs; 'Most Awesome Show Car', 'Best Car Club Display' and last but not least 'Lowest of the Low'!
All competitions are free to enter and you do not need to pre-register. Simply turn up and stay for the duration of the show. Our team of judges will walk around the show after lunch marking each car before jointly deciding on the winners. Winners will receive a trophy and some goodies from one of the show sponsors.
